Another Crosswalk Fatality September 21st 2017

On the same day the Provincial Transportation Minister outlined broad new measures to keep pedestrians and cyclists safe, an elderly woman was killed after she was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street near Broadview and Mortimer. The fatality occurred ed last night at about 8 o’clock at mid-block where there are no traffic lights, stop signs or crosswalks. The woman was using a walker. A pickup truck was the vehicle involved. No charges have been laid. We speak with Councillors Mary Fragedakis of Ward 25 and Jon Burnside Councillor for Ward 26.
