The current pandemic has been impacting virtually all aspects of Canadian life and that includes our judicial court system, which, for the most part, has halted operations. What will become of the backlog of cases as a result of that? Meanwhile, there is a growing concern about the spread of COVID-19 in our jails. An increasing number of Canadians, arrested for various serious criminal charges, have been ordered to be released by Judges who are concerned about that threat.
