If you shopped for groceries at a Sobeys this weekend you would have noticed a big change: no more single-use plastic bags! Are you Ok with that or did you get caught out? Pretty soon that’s how it is going to be everywhere. Ottawa is on track to ban a variety of single-use plastics from businesses and eateries by next year. That means no more plastic straws, bags, and food utensils. It’s part of the strategy to combat the country’s plastic pollution that will include more recycling.
