Jane Brown is filling in for Libby Znaimer today. She is joined by Marie Claude Morin, Regional Manager for Quebec, MADD Canada, and Sarah E. Leamon, Criminal Defence Lawyer specializing in impaired driving cases.

You may have heard the news. There are no second chances for impaired drivers who’ve been found guilty on two occasions of drinking and driving. As of this past Monday, drivers found guilty of a second offence will be forced to drive vehicles containing an alcohol ignition interlock device. The device, a breathalyzer, which costs between $1000 and $1500, requires motorists to blow into it to check for a blood-alcohol level before the car can start. Is this a law we should implement in Ontario?
