For the first time ever, there will be as many or more Zoomers in Canada than there are people under the age of 16. That according to Stats Canada numbers that are expected to come out in full tomorrow. But what does that mean for our economy? UBC professor Paul Kershaw says Federal spending on seniors’ benefits is expected to climb from $51.1 billion this fiscal year to $63.7 billion by 2022 — a $12.6-billion increase. David Cravit, a generational expert on the matter will join us to talk about it.
