A story in the Toronto Sun suggests that the Premier is willing to give John Tory an exemption to the City of Toronto Act so he can levy a hotel tax to bring in new revenue to the city. City staff have also given advice on other revenue tools, including one on non-residential parking. We discussed those with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.
