This Sunday, May 6th at 6pm on Zoomer Crooners and Songbirds, host Lily Frost shines the spotlight on Western Swing.

A blend of folk, polka, gypsy, blues, country and swing from the 20’s-40’s. It used fiddle, banjo, mando, pedal steel, double bass, guitar and sometimes vocals harmonies. It started at house and ranch parties for dancers and then moved into filling up dance halls in the south western states of America. It featured improvised solos. Some of the hero’s are Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys, Milton Brown, Roy Rogers and some revivalists like Ray Condo, Teddy Hawkins and The Bebop Cowboys.

Stay tuned and don’t change that dial if you wanna swing your socks off western style with me at 6pm eastern time on Zoomer Radio.
