Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre a vile message he received by a known far-right activist, Jeremy MacKenzie, who threatened to assault his wife. He has since released a statement saying that the messages in question were brought to the RCMP to investigate. FAMILY DOCTORS ARE LEAVING THE PROFESSION AMID THE PANDEMIC: STUDY
Jane Brown is joined, first, by Dr. Tara Kiran, a family doctor and researcher at St. Michael’s Hospital, followed by Dr. Nadia Alam, a family doctor and anesthetist in Georgetown Ontario and Dr. Nili Kaplan-Myrth, an Ottawa-based family physician and a medical anthropologist who writes about health policy and politics.
A new study by Unity Health Toronto reveals that more family doctors are leaving the profession amid the pandemic–approximately 3 per cent (or 385 of them) stopped practicing between March and September of 2020. Our physician guests weigh in on the concerning trend.
