ONTARIO KICKS OFF ITS FLU SHOT CAMPAIGN: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

This week, Health Minister Christine Elliott outlined Ontario’s flu shot campaign. The province purchased as many as 7.6 million flu shot doses (over a million more compared to last year) at a price tag of $90-million. High-risk groups are being prioritized. That includes: long-term care residents and hospital patients as well as Seniors and immunocompromised adults who are most at risk of the flu. The supply will become available to all Ontarians in November.
