WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE: ONTARIO SEES A CONCERNING RISE IN COVID-19 CASES

Jane Brown is joined by Dr. Ryan Imgrund, a bio-statistician who has been providing daily COVID-19 analysis for Ontario and Canada as well as Dr. Colin Furness,  an infection control epidemiologist and an assistant professor at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information.

Ontario faces a third COVID-19 wave as the daily case rates continue to climb. Meanwhile, as the province’s vaccination efforts ramp up, it appears that the variants continue to have an edge. Dr. Imgrund weighs in on the latest modelling and Dr. Furness provides insights into how we can do our part to help curb the spread.

Last week, the City of Toronto together with East Toronto Health Partners launched a mass COVID-19 immunization clinic at Thorncliffe Park. We get an update on how that’s been going. And Wolf and Jane talk about the critical role that mobile clinics have in reaching populations that face barriers in accessibility.
