Meanwhile, Ottawa has joined a long list of countries requiring travelers coming in from China, Hong Kong and Macao to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before arrival. Some experts are calling this politically motivated and not based on science. Our panel reacts to the latest.

As we enter the new year, Russia’s war against Ukraine remains ongoing. On the eve of the new year, Russia faced a major setback as Ukraine struck a facility housing many of their troops in Makiivka. The Russians reported that as many as 63 died in the missile attack while Ukraine claimed the attack killed 400 troops and wounded 300 more. The weapon used by Ukrainian forces was a HIMARS launch system which is American made. Meanwhile, as the new year came in, leaders of both countries made respective speeches on their outlook of the war. Our experts weigh in on the latest.
