SOME PROVINCES ARE REVERSING THEIR MANDATES AND LIFTING COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

Libby Znaimer is joined by Dr. Peter Jüni, Scientific Director of the province’s COVID-19 Science Advisory Table.

Amid ongoing protests in Ottawa and other major Canadian cities over vaccine mandates and COVID-19 restrictions, some provinces are reversing their mandates and lifting such restrictions. Alberta, Quebec and Saskatchewan come to mind. So, are these decisions merely a response to the ongoing unrest in the country over mandates or can we be reassured that they are being made from a science based approach as well? Dr. Jüni weighs in.

LIBERAL MP BREAKS RANKS WITH TRUDEAU GOVERNMENT OVER COVID-19 POLICIES

Libby Znaimer is joined by Bob Richardson, a Liberal strategist and Senior Council to National Public Relations alongside David Tarrant, a Conservative strategist and  Vice President, National Strategic Communications at Enterprise.

We are on day 13 of the Ottawa “freedom convoy” protests over vaccine mandates and COVID-19 restrictions. Other major Canadian cities are being affected as well as discussed in the previous segment. And, in a rather unusual turn of events, Quebec Liberal MP Joël Lightbound went public this week with criticism against his own party’s COVID-19 policies suggesting that they’ve become “political” and divisive”. Is this the strongest challenge towards PM Justin Trudeau that we’ve seen since the era of Jodie Wilson Raybould and Jane Philpott?

ANDREA HORWATH ON THE ONGOING PROVINCIAL “FREEDOM CONVOY” PROTESTS AND FAO REPORT

Libby Znaimer is joined by Andrea Horwath, leader of Ontario’s official opposition NDP.

If it were up to Andrea Horwath, she would see to it that truck drivers disrupting the way of life in Ottawa have their commercial licenses revoked and their licence plates invalidated. She’s also calling on Ontario Premier Ford to take action and deal with the Ottawa protests head on. And, on another note, Andrea weighs in on the latest FAO report that estimates that this year’s deficit will come in at $2.8-billion.
