PROTEST AND DISRUPTION TO INDUSTRY AT THE AMBASSADOR BRIDGE
Libby Znaimer is joined by Sarnia’s Mayor Mike Bradley as well as Perrin Beatty, President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and then Shane Wark, Assistant to the Unifor National President.
Yesterday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford released a statement on the Ambassador Bridge protests. He said: the “illegal occupation and blockade happening in Ontario must stop.” Mayor Bradley is also being blunt about the situation and describing it as “economic terrorism”. The Ambassador Bridge is a key access point for trade between Canada and the U.S. and we ask them both about their concerns on how this protest may harm the supply chains and the economy.
MAYOR PATRICK BROWN WANTS ONTARIO TO MOVE AHEAD WITH REOPENING

Mayor Brown wants his city and the rest of the province to reopen sooner than the province has planned for. Libby also asks him whether he’s thinking about running for leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
THE RAPID TESTING KIT ROLLOUT AT ONTARIO PHARMACIES AND OTHER LOCATIONS

Yesterday, Ontario Health Care Minister Christine Elliott announced that more than 2,300 groceries and pharmacies in the province will be providing rapid antigen testing kits for free. And, Libby asks the question: to cross the border we need an antigen test. Will they accept the ones we do at home or do we have to get them at the pharmacy with paperwork?
