Today, pharmacists and also primary care clinics in the province begin to administer the AstraZeneca vaccine to adults 40 years of age and older. This comes after the province made the decision to lower the age eligibility. Up until now, it was only being administered to adults 55 and up. The change has led to a dramatic increase in demand for the vaccine according to some pharmacists. And, we learn that the province will be collaborating with 20 Shoppers Drug Mart locations (majority in hot spot neighbourhoods) to provide 24/7 vaccination for adults 40 and older. We check in with John, a long-time friend of Fight Back, to see what has been happening at his own pharmacies.
