Goldhawk Fights Back: Canadian prices for brand products are substantially more expensive than they are in the United States because the multinational companies have established a ‘country price’ for goods sold to retailers in Canada. And the companies know Canadians will pay that price. That’s the explanation that Diane Brisebois, President and CEO of the Retail Council of Canada, gave to a Senate hearing in Ottawa.
