HoHoHo the whole year long

Happy Holidays to everyone across this great country!

This is the time of the year when, traditionally, our most cherished values come to the fore – family, neighborliness, caring, peace, security and comfort in our homes and communities. Hopefully these values will be held high and continue through the whole year.

At Goldhawk Fights Back, we try hard through the year to create and maintain a safe marketplace and to foster a high level of civility in our day-to-day living. This is our contribution to each community in which our small voice is heard.

Looking back, I am gratified that we have taken part in fighting back against arrogance and bureaucracy at Site 41, that noxious, proposed landfill in Ontario, as well as at Shakespeare, the hamlet threatened by five lanes of impersonal pavement. We have pointed the finger at many frauds and at unfairness that hurt Canadians. We have given a platform to many of the organizations and people that have the power and the ability to make our lives a little bit better.

There is much left to do. Site 41 has not been killed off completely. Shakespeare may someday be that little corner of Paradise that has been paved over, not for parking lots, but for highway widening. Fraud and greed and incompetency still exist in the marketplace.

But we are making a dent, all of us who care about integrity and about each other. And we’ll keep on fighting back.

From all of us at ZoomerMedia and Goldhawk Fights Back, have a wonderful holiday and keep your spirits high through all of 2010.

Make it HoHo, not OhOh, all year long.
