On May 14, 1998, Frank Sinatra died in Los Angeles at the age of 82 after suffering a heart attack. Sinatra was a musician and actor who had his first hit in 1940 in the Swing Era. He often worked with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey.
His success did not end with music. Frank Sinatra won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film From Here to Eternity (1953). He also had the accomplishment of achieving over 25 Top 40 singles including the No.1 hit Strangers in The Night (1966).
