US singer Lou Christie was born on this day in 1943. He also went to No. 1 on the US singles chart today (on his 23rd birthday) with ‘Lightnin’ Strikes.’
Famous for his three-octave vocal range, he also had two earlier hits with ‘The Gypsy Cried’ and ‘Two Faces Have I.’
He turns 71 today.
