On May 21, 1983 David Bowie went to No.1 on the US singles chart with his single Let’s Dance. This single was Bowie’s first hit to reach No.1 on both sides of the Atlantic and featured blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. The music video for Let’s Dance was made on location in Australia and featured Bowie playing with his band while watching an Aboriginal couple’s struggle with Western cultural imperialism.
