On May 13, 1967 The Supremes scored their 10th US No.1 single with the hit The Happening.This song served as the theme song for the movie of the same name. While the movie did not do so well at the box office, the single went on to peak at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart.

This single was the last one to be released by The Supremes. From this point on they were known as Diana Ross and the Supremes.
