On April 26, 1964, The Beatles, Rolling Stones and the Dave Clark Five headlined the New Music Express (NME) poll winner’s concert at Wembley Empire Pool, London. The NME is a music magazine based in the UK that has been produced since 1954.

The magazine started out as a newspaper and is considered to have championed some of the greatest rock and roll legends of all time. Their annual concert consisted of musicians who had made it into their popular poll, voted in by readers.
