On April 8th, 1964 The Supremes record ‘Where Did Our Love Go’ at Motown Studios in Detroit.

The song would become the first US No.1 single. The Supremes were originally founded as the Primettes in Detroit in 1959 and became the most successful of Motown’s musicians.

Currently, The Supremes are America’s most successful vocal group, having 12 No.1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
