Frank Sinatra Jr was kidnapped at gunpoint from his room at Harrah’s in Lake Tahoe prior to a scheduled performance at the casino. He was released two days later after his father paid out the $240,000 ransom demanded by the kidnappers. Sinatra Sr communicated with the kidnappers via payphone and took to carrying a roll of dimes in his pocket. This became a lifetime habit for him and he was reportedly buried with a roll in his jacket pocket.
