The Who‘s original drummer, Keith Moon, passed away. After attending a film preview of The Buddy Holly Story with Paul McCartney, ‘Moon the Loon’ took 32 tablets of Heminevrin, a drug that had been prescribed to him to alleviate his alcohol withdrawal symptoms. Digesting just 6 would have been enough to cause death. Zak Starkey, who just so happens to be the son of Ringo Starr, is The Who’s current drummer. He was taught by Moon and referred to him as “Uncle Keith”.
