The Marine Offences Act came into law, causing most pirate radio stations to close down. Radio London had previously announced that they would go off air and 3pm on August 14th. At 2pm they aired Their Final Hour, a star-studded pre-recorded hour that included the voices of a number of celebrities such as Mick Jagger and Cliff Richards as well as the voices of station DJs past and present.
