It’s known as The Mink Mile – Toronto’s upscale Bloor St. strip between Bay Street  and Avenue Road.  And for good reason.  It’s the priciest retail space in Canada at $310 per square foot on average.

But it’s still a bargain compared to similar destinations abroad, according to Colliers International 2012 Global Retail Report.

Retail space on New York’s 5th Avenue rents out for $2600 per square foot and Hong Kong’s Canton Road and Queen’s Road Central goes for more than  $1800.

Vancouver’s Robson Street at $150 a square foot ranked second nationally.
