The Beatles film A Hard Day’s Night premiered at The Pavilion in London, the eve of Ring Starr’s 24th birthday. The soundtrack was released four days later. In Steven Glynn’s guide to this film he says:
“The enduring appeal of A Hard Day’s Night lied predominantly in the ageless charm of its protagonists, four lads from Liverpool who changed for ever the style, the content and the significance of popular music around the world. But their debut film also effected a paradigm shift in the sub-genre of the pop music, proving quickly, through its innovative power, to be both apogee and executioner.”
