DOMINGO IS BACK IN THE EUROPEAN SPOTLIGHT

He may be disgraced in North America but one of the world’s greatest opera singers is still revered in Europe.

Placido Domingo will receive a lifetime achievement award in Salzburg next week at what will be his first public appearance since he recovered from COVID-19.

Domingo is to receive Austria’s “Music Prize.”

He’s also scheduled to do three performances in Italy beginning August 22nd.

The 79-year old opera legend saw his U.S. bookings dry up last summer following allegations of sexual harassment from more than 20 women.

He denied the allegations but issued an apology.
