We’ll find out from Ontario’s premier Wednesday afternoon the guidelines for celebrating the upcoming holiday season as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
Toronto’s Mayor said this morning he has not been given advance notice on this, but John Tory feels he has an idea of what will be announced.
“There are restrictions on right now that say you’re not supposed to spend time with people outside of your own home with exceptions for people who live alone, and so I think you’ll see something more along that line, but nobody is setting out to prohibit or ban Christmas,” Tory explained.
For now, we know both Toronto and Peel Region will be under the grey lockdown set of restrictions until at least December 21st as part of the governing PC’s tiered COVID-19 alert system.
This means, among many other restrictions, a ban on indoor gatherings except for those in the same household, as well as closed restaurants for all but takeout and delivery.
