Believe it or not, It’s been 40-years since John Lennon released his final album.

Now, the photographer who documented the recording of “Double Fantasy” has come forward with his take on the album.

Roger Farrington was handed the assignment and sworn to absolute secrecy.

Farrington’s pictures of the recording appeared in People Magazine.

He says Lennon’s fifth and final solo album was his most personally revealing.

Double Fantasy was released November 17th, 1980.

Lennon was shot and killed in New York, 3 week later.
