Toronto Public Health is out of stock of the high dose flu vaccine recommended for those over 65.
And it’s uncertain even if additional supply will be available and so for now, orders won’t be filled until further notice.
In a statement to physicians and pharmacies, the health agency says the province is working through the federal government vaccine procurement process to acquire additional doses for Ontario.
In the meantime, health officials recommend those over 65 receive the regular flu shot instead.
This is for Toronto Public Health only, so if you live outside the city, check with your doctor and pharmacist which may have some supply of the high dose vaccine.
