The Trudeau government’s promising to spend $10-billion on initiatives such as agriculture, broadband and clean energy as part of a plan to create more than one million jobs.
In making the announcement, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the three year Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) plan is expected to create 60,000 jobs.

”With smart, targeted investments, we can get people back on the job, grow the economy while building a healthy, sustainable future for everyone,” said Trudeau.
Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole says he’d scrap the bank, calling it ”nothing but a waste of taxpayer dollars.”
He promises to come up with a different plan to create jobs.
”Justin Trudeau’s record on infrastructure is abysmal,” O’Toole says in a statement.
”In five years, the Liberals have failed to get money out the door and shovels in the ground.”
The CIB, created in 2017, has been criticized for delays in getting projects launched.
