A new Angus Reid survey shows approval ratings for Premiers across the country isn’t exactly in sync with the severity of coronavirus outbreaks in their province.
B.C.’s John Horgan, Doug Ford and Quebec’s Francois Legault lead in approval despite receiving a mix of praise and criticism, notably on their respective back-to-school plans.
Horgan has 69% approval despite record numbers of new cases being reported in B-C.
Ford is second at 66%.
Legault has 65% approval despite Quebec having the most total cases and deaths of any province since the start of the pandemic.
Alberta’s Jason Kenney and Newfoundland and Labrador’s Andrew Furey are the bottom two with 42 and 34 percent approval, respectively.
