New numbers from Toronto Public Health aimed at helping the public better understand what’s happened so far during the pandemic.
Since the start of the crisis, 14,777 residents have been infected, but 13,028 have recovered … 1,117 have died … most of those infected have been in their 50s … and a majority of them female.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Eileen de Villa says ”data is core to informing our COVID-19 response. It is the only way we will understand WHERE and HOW this new virus is spreading … if our public health measures are working.”
The Open Data platform can be found on the city of Toronto website and is updated every Wednesday.
