Who’d have though music superstar Sir Elton John would need cheering up, but a tip from St. Catherine’s singer songwriter Ron Sexsmith did just that.

A school band and choir from Shropshire, England had done a video of Elton’s hit “I’m Still Standing.”   After receiving an email from Sexsmith, whom Elton calls a “dear friend,”  the 73 year old music legend watched and says he was “blown away.”

Sire Elton says the video cheered him up so much he’s invited those involved to be his guests the next time he plays a show in Great Britain.
