Some 45-years after it was completed, Canadian music legend Neil Young is finally set to release his lost 1975 album, “Homegrown”.
Five of the tracks, “Love Is A Rose,” “Homegrown,” “White Line,” “Little Wing” and “Star Of Bethlehem” subsequently went on to find a place on Young’s other albums.
The Toronto-born, 74 year old singer songwriter describes the album as “the unheard bridge between “Harvest” and “Comes a Time.”
Young says the album should have been there a couple of years after “Harvest.” But that he says is the sad side of a love affair. He says he just couldn’t listen to the music and kept it hidden away.
He concludes, “I should have shared it. It’s actually beautiful.”
“Homegrown” comes out Friday, June 19th.
