Viral photos and videos show large crowds gathering in New York City over the weekend.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is now warning he will take action against any areas that refuse to enforce social distancing guidelines.

“A bar or restaurant that is violating these rules can lose their liquor license,” Cuomo threatened, “We are not kidding around with this. We’re talking about jeopardizing peoples’ lives.”

New York’s virus-related hospitalizations are declining.

New York state recorded 23 COVID-19 related deaths Saturday, the lowest one-day death toll since the early days of the new coronavirus crisis.

In the U.S., COVID-19 infections are on the rise in 22 states and Puerto Rico.

In South Carolina, tourists are flocking to Myrtle Beach, with hotels there filling up to almost pre-pandemic levels despite more than 700 new cases in that state.
