CONSERVATIES SET DATES FOR ENGLISH AND FRENCH LANGUAGE DEBATES

The Conservative Party has announced dates for the first debates in Canada’s official languages.

Leadership hopefuls will take part in their first leadership debates. The French debate takes place June 17th with the English debate June 18th.

They will be livestreamed with no in-studio audience.

Four candidates are in the running. Two candidates, Erin O’Toole and Derek Sloan are currently sitting MPs. Leslyn Lewis and former Progressive Conservative of Canada leader Peter McKay are currently without seats in the House of Commons.

A new leader will be selected on August 21st.
