The family of Capt. Jenn Casey, killed in the Canadian Forces Snowbirds crash Sunday in Kamloops, says in a statement Operation Inspiration was ”designed for her.
The 35-year-old military public relations officer was part of the cross-country tour aimed at lifting the spirits of Canadians during COVID-19.
Here’s part of the statement released by her family.
”Operation Inspiration is a mission with one focus: making Canadians happy in a time of uncertainty. and there was no better person in this world to carry out that mission than Jenn.”
She joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2014 after several years working as a journalist.
”We ask those who knew and loved Jenn to cherish the memories you have of her and continue to bask in the light she shone on everyone’s life,” the family said.
