Toronto’s mayor is calling on the Ontario government to provide residents with the measurements required to move into the next phase of COVID-19 recovery.
John Tory says he doesn’t know the answer himself, and thinks the Doug Ford Progressive Conservatives need to confer with the public health experts and make this clear.
“I don’t know the answer to the question of when we’re going to be at the stage and what measurements one looks at when deciding if you can go and hug your relatives or that kind of thing,” Tory told CP24 on Tuesday, “I think it is time, because they’re looking at numbers, and it’s time to have some kind of understood series of measurements that will dictate when these changes take place under that framework.”
The daily COVID-19 numbers in Ontario have been trending downward over the past week.
