Premier Doug Ford says early this week he will unveil a plan for reopening the province’s economy, which has been closed down since mid-March.

“It will provide a gradual and measured approach to opening up,” Premier Ford explained on Friday, “Let me be clear. The health and safety of Ontario will always come first.”

Quebec Premier Francois Legault is expected to outline a similar plan for his province.

Ontario and Quebec have been the hardest hit province’s for COVID-19, primarily in long term care homes.

The governing PCs at Queen’s Park have released a list of all long term care homes dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak. It includes the number of cases and deaths in each facility.

Among the hardest hit in Toronto are Eatonville Care Centre in Etobicoke, Chartwell White Eagle Long Term Care Home near Dowling and King and Hawthorne Place Centre near Jane and Finch.
