Students in Ontario are effectively back in class today as the Ford Government’s distance learning program begins.

Education Minister Stephen Lecce says the program is designed to ensure that students don’t lose their year.

The president of the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association says school boards have been hearing from parents in recent weeks that they need help teaching their children at home.  Teachers will lead the effort with both live and pre-recorded lessons

Schools in the province are shuttered until at least May 4th.
