The province is confirming a seventh case of the novel coronavirus in Ontario.
Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. David Williams confirmed the new case is a man in his 50s. He arrived in Toronto on Tuesday after travel in Iran. He checked into the emergency department at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre the following day.
He was treated at the hospital and discharged the same day and has been in self-isolation ever since.
There are four active cases currently in the province and health officials say the risk of being infected in the province remains very low.
