It’s back to the bargaining table for the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association as the mediator calls the union and government back to the bargaining table.
If an agreement is not reached, then OECTA says its teachers will begin rotating strikes next week; starting with Toronto Monday, Durham and Halton Tuesday, Dufferin-Peel Thursday and York Friday.
Negotiations between OECTA and government broke down last month and since then they’ve had just one day of talks.
Public school teachers with the four major unions are to walkout this Friday as part of efforts to pressure the government.
