OECTA TO LAUNCH JOB ACTION, ETFO ROTATING STRIKES POSSIBLE

Saying talks with the Ford government have ”broken down,” Ontario’s English Catholic Teachers Association says as a result its members will launch administrative job action Monday.
Meanwhile, elementary teachers say they’ll start rotating strikes January 20th unless there’s significant progress in contract talks with the Ford government.
ETFO says if the government refuses to address ”critical issues ” by the 17th they’ll start a full withdrawal of services on a rotating basis.
Come Monday, elementary teachers plan to refuse to supervise extra-curricular activities and participate in field trips.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation continues holding one-day rotating strikes.
