After Montreal engineering giant SNC-Lavalin pleaded guilty to one count of fraud that will see it pay a $280-million penalty related to work the company did in Libya years ago, the former cabinet minister at the heart of the scandal says accountability was ultimately achieved.
In a series of tweets that followed the guilty plea, Jody Wilson-Raybould says the justice system did its work, the rule of law is being upheld and it’s time for SNC-Lavalin to look to its future.
