KOREAN FILM WINS TFCA'S BEST PICTURE AWARD

The dark social satire “Parasite” is the big winner at this year’s Toronto Film Critics Association Awards.
Members of the association have named Bong Joon-ho’ s class-based comedy as best picture, best foreign film and Bong as best director.
The movie details greed and class discrimination in South Korea and was a hit at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

“Marriage Story” won two acting awards – Adam Driver for best actor and Laura Dern for best supporting actress.Best actress went to Lupita Nyong’o for her work in the horror film “Us.”

 “The Irishman” won best screenplay.

The winner of the Best Canadian Film Award, which comes with a prize of $100,000, will be announced at the TFCA awards gala on January 9th.
