Don Cherry is making no apologies for his Remembrance Day rant about immigrants not wearing poppies.
”Everybody in Canada should wear a poppy to honour our fallen soldiers,” said Cherry the day he was fired as co-host of ”Coach’s Corner” on Hockey Night In Canada.
”I did not say minorities, I did not say immigrants.  If you watch Coach’s Corner, I did not say that.  I said ‘everybody.’  And I said ‘you people,” added Cherry.
He says he could have kept his job if he had agreed to become ”a tame robot who nobody would recognize,” but that after 38 years he can’t do that.
