A senior RCMP official accused of breaking Canada’s secrets law is headed back into custody.
Camerion Ortis is accused of disclosing secrets to an unknown recipient and planning to revel additional classified information to an unspecified foreign entity.
He had been granted bail under strict conditions that included him staying with his parents in B.C. and being denied access to anything that can log onto the internet.
An Ontario Superior Court Justice says the 47-year-old Ortis will be returned to custody as a result of a review requested by the crown.
Ortis had been granted bail last month but will now return to Ottawa.
His next court date is scheduled for Nov. 19.
