A 310 year old Tecchler violin, made in Rome and worth $325 thousand, that was left on the London Subway by its owner, has been returned.
After some secret negotiations, Stephen Morris got the instrument back in a supermarket car park with plain-clothes police officers in attendance.
The man who had the violin said he had made a mistake and apologized. British Transit Police say they’ll be taking no further action.
